Breakdown of Reduction

DOT’s savings primarily come from Space Management initiatives through disposed assets. In FY2010 and FY2011, DOT disposed of 4,676 assets through administrative and technical space consolidation initiatives and are on track to dispose of thousands more in FY2012. Additional cost savings will also be achieved from Sustainability and Innovation efforts.
